The special visit, which has been generating extensive coverage in the local media in Argentina, opened with the display of the exhibition "Eternal Embrace," initiated by photographer Ifat Pe’er and the Zionist Council in Israel, which together with the World Zionist Organization, brought to Argentina, telling the stories of 26 victims and casualties of the war, through the eyes of their grieving mothers.
During the special delegation’s visit to Argentina and a touching meeting with the Jewish community in Buenos Aires AMIA, the Israeli mothers met with the local Jewish families of the victims of the terrorist attacks in the country, with Israel’s Ambassador to Argentina Eyal Sela, and with the AMIA President Amos Linetzky. The mothers who have received a warm welcome, presented the local mothers and the hosts with hand-made Mezuzah made of olive wood from Israel and copies of a special edition of the Passover Haggadah written post-October 7.
The "Eternal Embrace" photo exhibition, created to unite mothers from around the world in the fight against terrorism, was displayed on October 7th, the first anniversary of the tragedy, at the United Nations building in New York, in the initiative of the Zionist Council in Israel and the WZO’s Zionist Enterprises Department, in the presence of ambassadors and representatives from around the world. Over the past year, the exhibition has traveled between cities in Israel, with a personal text accompanying each image of the grieving mother, describing her son or daughter who was lost and the moment of their last embrace.
