Filming for the new season is set to begin later this month. The show’s creators, Lior Raz and Avi Issacharoff, will return for the new installment, with Raz once again reprising his role as the lead character. Laurent and Raz previously collaborated on Netflix’s "6 Underground" and the historical thriller "Operation Finale."
Laurent was seen visiting Israel in November, raising speculation that the trip may have been related to her involvement with the series.
"Fauda" has gained international recognition for its gritty portrayal of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and has become one of Israel’s most successful television exports. The new season will premiere in Israel early next year on Yes, with a global release to follow on Netflix, where all four previous seasons are currently available. Omri Givon ("Prisoners of War") will direct the new season.
Laurent is also set to star in the upcoming Apple TV+ series "A L’ombre des Forêts," further cementing her presence in international television. Her casting in "Fauda" reflects a growing interest from global talent in Israeli productions. In a recent example, British actor Hugh Laurie ("House") joined the cast of the Israeli espionage series "Tehran" for its latest season.
