Steve Wittkopf, special envoy to the Middle East for U.S. President Donald Trump, said in an interview with Fox News that he believes "talks with Iran are promising," about a day after the ceasefire in the war took effect. He added: "We hope we can achieve a long-term agreement that revives Iran anew." He further noted that it depends on both sides – the U.S. and Iran – "to sit down and reach an agreement."
