This was reported by the New York Times citing American officials who reviewed intelligence reports on the matter. It was also reported that officials in the United States are concerned that the war will expand because Israel is pressuring the White House to intervene. Additionally, the officials assess that if the US participates in attacking nuclear facilities in Iran, the Houthi rebels will resume attacks on ships in the Red Sea and pro-Iranian militias will attack American bases in Syria and Iraq.
