Vicki Cohen, the mother of kidnapped soldier Nimrod, spoke at an event in the hostages' square marking her son's birthday. Cohen said: "I want you to know that I am proud of you, of who you are, of your sensitivity, intelligence, and your pleasant and special personality." She addressed public officials, saying: "Enough, it's time for my Nimrod to return to freedom. For this to happen, it's time to end the war and bring my beloved child and all the hostages home. I'm waiting for you to return so I can hug you and tell you that I love you and that you are not alone."
