U.S. President Donald Trump shared on his social network TruthSocial a video from the Ayalon Highway showing banners with words of gratitude to the president amid American involvement in the war with Iran. The banners read: "Thank you, Mr. President." Simultaneously, he shared quotes from his special envoy Steve Witkoff and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, in which they claim that the American strike on Iran destroyed Iran's ability to produce nuclear weapons – contradicting a series of reports in the U.S. stating that nuclear facilities were damaged, but capabilities were only diminished and not completely eliminated.
