The United States has approved a deal to sell engines for Israel’s Eitan armored personnel carriers (APCs), the Pentagon’s Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) announced Monday.
The deal, valued at approximately $180 million, expands on a previous agreement involving engines and related components used in the advanced Eitan APCs developed by Israel’s defense establishment.
According to the DSCA, the package includes logistical support, engineering services and technical consulting provided by the U.S. government and external contractors.
Rolls-Royce America, based in Michigan, will serve as the primary contractor for the deal.
