Against the backdrop of successful strikes in Iran, the IDF noted that "we are advancing according to a plan developed over months, working through the steps we anticipated and prepared for escalations and developments. We are dismantling threats one by one, step by step. We learned from ground forces fighting in Gaza and Northern Command how to control territory even over distant Iran, exactly as we did over Gaza and Lebanon, integrating the air force's capabilities with the friction we've experienced throughout the war with the Houthis." It was further stated that "the Air Force cannot address all components of Iran's nuclear program, so we are striking their missile industry, threatening their national infrastructure and leadership, and nuclear facilities. This combination will set back their nuclear program for years."
