A 20-year-old prisoner managed to escape from jail in the city of Lyon in southeastern France by hiding in the bag of another inmate who was released after serving his sentence. Sources told the French news agency AFP, which added that in a statement written by the prison administration and sent to them, it was noted that the escaped prisoner was serving "several" prison sentences. The Lyon prosecutor's office has opened an investigation into the case.
