There is nothing like a biscuit cake to bring back childhood memories, but this recipe is a more elegant version of an old-time favorite, perfect for the most Israeli celebration as the country marks 77 years of independence.
What you need
300 grams of dark chocolate
50 grams of milk chocolate
20 chocolate-flavored biscuits
What to do
1. Chop all biscuits in a bowl, then heat the cream in a pot and remove it before it boils. Pour the cream on the chocolate and let it melt. Then mix into a smooth mixture.
2. Pour a thin layer of the melted chocolate on the bottom of your baking pan, cover with biscuits and brush over with milk. Let the biscuits absorb the milk.
3. Continue to build your cake by repeating and top the construction with cream
4. Cool for 12 hours and serve cold.
• Brush biscuits with milk rather than dunking them into it
• You can add 2 tablespoons of an alcoholic beverage of choice.
• Freeze for one hour before serving. It will make removing the cake much easier.
