Austrian Interior Minister Gerhard Karner reported that the shooter at the high school in Graz was a former student, 21, who failed to complete his studies at the educational institution. Austrian police said the shooter was a citizen of the country who carried out his actions using two weapons that he possessed legally. Nine people were killed in the incident – six girls and three boys – and 12 others were injured. The shooter ended his life in a bathroom stall at the school. Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker declared three days of mourning in the country.
