The U.S. State Department is considering transferring $500 million to the GHF fund, responsible for distributing humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip, Reuters news agency reported. According to sources who spoke with Reuters, the money would be transferred to the fund through USAID – the U.S. Agency for International Development, which is currently being integrated into the State Department. The report also indicated that several senior U.S. officials expressed opposition to the plan, citing alleged shooting incidents near distribution centers and doubts about GHF's implementation capabilities.
